Group Tours

Guided tours of Penn Valley Fire Stations are provided free of charge to district residents as part of the district’s public education program. When scheduling your tour please keep the following tips in mind:

Tours must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
Each tour is approximately thirty minutes long.
Each tour is limited to twenty-five people, and we require at least one adult per five children.
Birthday parties are welcome to view the station as part of their event. We ask that you do not plan to hold the party festivities such as cake, ice cream or gifts at the station.
All stations are working fire stations and crews remain available for response during all tours. In the event a crew is called away during your visit, we will be happy to reschedule your tour for another day.

Schedule a Tour

To schedule a group tour of a local fire station, please complete the Station Tour Request Form We request that you provide us with three different preferred dates and times of your requested tour to accommodate our operations and training schedule.

What to Know Before You Go

Call ahead: While walk-in visits are sometimes allowed if crews are not busy, it is preferred to call their non-emergency number (530-432-2630) first to check for a good time.

Avoid busy times: Do not visit around mealtimes (near 12 and 5 pm) or early in the morning when firefighters are busy with chores or training.

Be prepared for sudden changes: Firefighters are on duty and may have to leave abruptly for an emergency call right in the middle of your visit.

Respect the space: Park in designated visitor areas and never block the large bay doors where the trucks enter and exit.
