All new construction within the Penn Valley Fire Protection District must have a Fire Mitigation Plan Review.
This involves the local fire marshal checking the building plans to ensure they comply with fire and life safety codes, including requirements for fire protection systems, materials, and emergency vehicle access.
This process includes reviewing architectural and site plans and requires submitting four (4) copies of the plans physically to the Penn Valley Fire Protection District Office for approval before construction can begin. The review ensures the structure is safe, with adequate fire protection features and clear access for firefighters.
All plans submitted for review must be accompanied by the plan review submittal application and four (4) copies of the project plans.
Plan review and inspection fees are charged in accordance with District's adopted fee ordinance. Cash or check only.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call the office Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 4:00pm at (530) 432-2630.
