Penn Valley Fire Protection District helps our community by protecting lives and property, reducing economic damage, thus creating a more resilient and a safer environment.
It achieves this through education, community-wide risk assessment and mitigation, and by ensuring fire safety standards are met during all construction projects in our district by mitigation.

Preserves property and infrastructure
Reduces property loss: By preventing fires from starting or spreading, communities can save homes, businesses, and infrastructure from destruction and the high costs associated with rebuilding.
Maintains economic stability: Wildfires can negatively impact job growth in affected areas, so prevention helps maintain a stable local economy by reducing the frequency of such destructive events.
Supports resilient infrastructure: Community-level initiatives, such as building and land-use codes that require ignition-resistant materials and landscaping, create a "fire-adapted community”.
