The Penn Valley Fire Protection District prevention program works to mitigate fire hazards through inspections and education as well as investigates the causes of fires. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the following items below, please call the office Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm at (530) 432-2630.

All plans submitted for review must be accompanied by the below plan review submittal application. Plan review and inspection fees are charged in accordance with District's adopted fee ordinance.

Fire Investigations

The District investigates the causes of all fires within its jurisdiction as required by statute and code. District arson investigators are duly appointed and armed peace officers in the State of California and are responsible for all phases of investigation from initial cause and origin through follow up, apprehension of suspects and testimony in court when necessary. All requests for investigation reports should be sent to the District office.
