Welcome to the Penn Valley Fire Department Auxiliary web site. As you look at the different pages available you will learn of the history of our organization and about our current operations.

The Penn Valley Fire Department Auxiliary is a non-profit 501 (c) organization using an all volunteer group of community-oriented men and women who choose to give back to citizens by giving of their time and talents.

The mission of the PVFD Auxiliary is to support the Penn Valley Fire Protection District as they serve the emergency fire and medical needs of our citizens. The Auxiliary operates the Thrift Ship located at 10513 Spenceville Road behind the fire station. There are approximately 85 members of the Auxiliary and they are led by Board Members consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

The Thrift Shop is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 A. M. to 4:00 P.M. Proceeds from the store are donated to the Penn Valley Fire Protection District and used to support the purchase of emergency vehicles and equipment. The Auxiliary has two luncheon meetings per year where the highlight of the event, besides great food and fellowship, is a donation to the District. To date, the Auxiliary has donated more than $1,000,000 to the District.

The Auxiliary has several special sales throughout the year. The monthly sales days are the first Saturday of each month and the preceding Friday. There are also special holiday sales. Check the calendar page for the dates and times.

We ask for and cherish you support.  First, please stop by to shop.  You will be amazed at the many bargains you will find.  Second, if you have still useable used items we ask that you donate them to our shop.  Third, if you have the time, please choose to give back to your community by becoming a member of the Auxiliary and volunteering to help at the Thrift Shop. Contact us for more information.
